About Us

Hello.  I am Margaret Messick.  I started Costume Inventory Resources in 2010 to help Costume Shops organize their collections.  I learned to sew at age 12 and have sewn garments for many theatre productions and my family.  I have worked as a database designer and database instructor for 25 years.  Creating the Costume Inventory Database (now the Theatre Inventory Database) allowed me to combine my love of sewing with my experience in designing database applications.  

​We started in 2010 with the Costume Inventory Database, 1 customer and 1 tag printer.   

​In 2018 there are 6 main Inventory database applications with a total of 25 modules, over 800 customers in 19 countries and 5 dedicated tag printers !
